Description
Origin : Native to Central America (sunny semi-arid climate). Highly valued indoors for its beauty and reliability.
Characteristics : Thickened stipe, clump of leaves, ribbon-like leaves, flexible apex (elephantipes). Indoor size: 1–2.5 m in pot.
Care : Full sun to very bright light; little water; let dry. Ideal temperature 18–26 °C. Medium to high ambient humidity depending on the species; use a draining substrate (potting soil + perlite) and avoid stagnant water.
