Description

Origin
The Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’ is an indoor plant native to Southeast Asia. This plant species often grows there as an epiphyte in the rainforest, where it clings to trees. The Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’ is a variety of Scindapsus pictus, also known as satin Pothos.

Characteristics

The Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’ is distinguished by its heart-shaped leaves, which have a silvery sheen and are adorned with a characteristic pattern of dark green spots. The plant has a climbing growth habit, where it tends to grow in length and can thus take curtain-like shapes. The total height can vary from 60 cm to 1.2 m, depending on care and conditions.

Care

A Scindapsus pictus ‘Trebie’ needs a bright location, but should not be exposed directly to sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. It’s important to let the soil dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. Additionally, the air humidity in the room should ideally be between 40% and 60%. Furthermore, the plant needs a temperature between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. If the plant grows too fast in height, it can always be pruned. The pruning waste can then be used for propagation.
