The Scindapsus pictus ‘Silvery Ann’ is a plant species native to Southeast Asia. This plant, also known as ‘Satijnpothos’, is mainly found in the tropical forests of countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Characteristics
What characterizes the Scindapsus pictus ‘Silvery Ann’ are its large heart-shaped leaves with a silvery sheen. The surface of the leaves is described as ‘velvety’ and features a distinctive pattern of silver spots. The plant easily reaches a height of 120 to 150 centimeters, but may sometimes require support to reach its full size.
Care
As for care, the Scindapsus pictus ‘Silvery Ann’ does not have many requirements. The plant thrives best in a place with indirect sunlight and a constant temperature, absolutely not below 10 degrees Celsius. Water the plant only when the top layer of the soil is dry to the touch; too much water can lead to root rot. It is also necessary to maintain fairly high relative humidity to prevent the leaves from drying out.
