Description
Origin
The Scindapsus, also known as Epipremnum ‘Golden Pothos’, originates from the forests of Southeast Asia. Here, the plant grows along twists and rocks towards the light. Today, however, the Scindapsus is a very common indoor plant, especially popular for its striking colors and easy care.
Characteristics
The main characteristics of the ‘Golden Pothos’ are the large heart-shaped leaves with unique golden spots. As it ages, the spots change from bright yellow to a blend of green and yellow. The plant can reach several meters in length and can grow as a hanging or climbing plant.
Care
In the care of Epipremnum ‘Golden Pothos’, this plant is not particularly demanding. Place the plant in a spot with indirect light and moderate water supply; the soil can dry slightly between waterings. It is best to repot the plant into a larger pot every two years to ensure optimal growth. Temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius are ideal for the ‘Golden Pothos’. It is recommended to regularly mist the plant to maintain high humidity, which contributes to the health and appearance of the plant.
