Description
Origin
The Scindapsus (Epipremnum) ‘Glacier’ is a climbing plant from the Epipremnum genus, which is part of the Araceae family. Originally, the plant comes from Southeast Asia and Oceania, particularly from the tropical forests of Borneo, the Philippines, and the Solomon Islands.
Characteristics
The Scindapsus ‘Glacier’ is characterized by its heart-shaped leaves, remarkably marbled with a combination of green, white, and silver hues. The leaves have a waxy texture and can grow up to 10 cm in length. The plant grows on the ground as a ground cover but can also climb if it has the opportunity to attach to something.
Care
A Scindapsus ‘Glacier’ requires a spot with indirect sunlight, as direct light may cause the leaves to discolor. The plant needs little water: you only need to water it again when the surface of the soil feels dry to the touch. Additionally, the Scindapsus ‘Glacier’ requires high humidity. However, it can withstand various climatic conditions and can therefore be kept indoors as well as outdoors.
