Description

Origin
The Scindapsus Aureum, also known as Epipremnum Aureum, originates from the South Pacific, specifically the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, and northern Australia. It is a climbing or trailing plant that can reach a height of 20 meters in nature.

Characteristics

The Scindapsus Aureum is recognizable by its heart-shaped leaves, measuring 10 to 20 centimeters long, glossy and light green in color with yellow or white spots. The plant grows quickly and the vines can reach two to three meters long in domestic conditions. Additionally, aerial roots allow the plant to attach to a support, enabling it to grow vertically on a moss pole or suspended in a basket or shelf.

Care

The Scindapsus Aureum prefers a warm and bright location but also tolerates partial shade. However, direct sunlight can damage the leaves. The soil should always be slightly moist, without letting water stagnate at the bottom of the pot. Although the plant is drought-resistant, the leaves appreciate regular misting with water, especially in winter. It is recommended to feed the plant with indoor plant fertilizer during the growing period from spring to autumn.
