Origin
The Schefflera arboricola ‘Compacta’, also known as the dwarf umbrella plant, originates in Taiwan and southern China. There, the plant grows in the shade under the forest canopy where it is protected from direct sunlight.

The Schefflera arboricola ‘Compacta’ is a popular indoor plant notable for its compact growth and shiny green leaves. The leaves of this plant are smaller and grow more densely than the standard Schefflera arboricola. The arrangement of the leaves resembles miniature hands or fingers emerging from a stem. The plant can eventually reach a height of 1 to 1.5 meters.
Care
When caring for the Schefflera arboricola ‘Compacta’, it is important to know that the plant needs a moderate amount of water and thrives in indirect sunlight. Ideally, position the plant in a room with temperatures between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius. Moreover, this plant prefers high air humidity, so it is beneficial to spray the leaves regularly.
