Characteristics
The Schefflera actinophylla ‘Amate’ has a remarkably characteristic appearance with green leaves arranged in groups, each group having 7 to 16 small leaves, which gives the plant its typical umbrella look. The plant can reach a height of 15 meters in its natural environment, though it usually remains much smaller in domestic conditions. During the growth period, the plant produces red or pink flowers, which grow in clusters arranged in rays.
Care
Proper care for the Schefflera actinophylla ‘Amate’ includes a well-lit to semi-shaded position, preferably without direct afternoon sunlight. The plant needs to be watered regularly, but it is essential to avoid water accumulation to prevent root rot. The ideal indoor temperature for the ‘Amate’ ranges between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius.
