The plant was discovered and imported by Europeans in the 18th century. Also known by the more common name ‘snake plant’, the ‘Super Flame’ adds a fiery flame effect to this popular plant species.
Characteristics
The ‘Super Flame’ varies in height between 36-48 centimeters, having a slender and upright growth pattern and is very hardy. This specific species is unique due to its strikingly marked, narrow leaves that feature a yellowish glow. The leaves are thick, wavy, and covered with a pattern of dark green and light green, almost yellow stripes. Furthermore, this plant is a slow-growing species, generally taking several years to reach full maturity.
