Origin
The Sansevieria cylindrica tower originates from Angola, Africa, where it grows freely in rocky and dry areas. The plant is also known by another name that refers to its thick, cylindrical leaves and its origin.
Characteristics
The Sansevieria cylindrica tower is a succulent plant characterized by its stiff, upright leaves marked by horizontal dark green bands. These leaves are circular in section and can grow up to 120 cm in height. They give the plant a tower-like shape, hence the addition of ‘tower’ to its name. Flowers are rare, but when they appear, they are generally green or white flowers arranged in an upright cluster.
Care
The Sansevieria cylindrica tower requires relatively little care compared to other indoor plants. The plant is extremely drought-tolerant and does best when the soil is completely dry between waterings. It can withstand a lot of light but can also survive in low-light conditions. However, it prefers warm temperatures, as it comes from a warm climate.
