Description

Origin
The Sansevieria cylindrica ‘Spikes’ originates from West Africa. It is a species of succulent in the Asparagaceae family. The plant is primarily found in Angola, but it also grows in other arid regions of West Africa.

Characteristics

The Sansevieria cylindrica ‘Spikes’ is characterized by its unique shape: upright cylindrical leaves that end in a sharp point. The leaves are generally dark green with light streaks and can reach a height of 1 meter. It is a very hardy plant that can survive in a variety of conditions and climates, as well as in artificial environments such as building interiors.

Care

The Sansevieria cylindrica ‘Spikes’ requires relatively little care. As a succulent, the plant needs little water, especially during the winter months. Overwatering can be harmful and damage the plant’s roots. Placing the plant in a well-drained pot and in a location with plenty of light, but not direct sunlight, is preferable. Although the plant tolerates some drought, it does best at temperatures between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius.
