Origin
The Philodendron pedatum, also known in some areas as the Oak Leaf Philodendron, is native to the tropical regions of Central and South America. It is a highly diverse plant species, with nearly 500 different varieties thriving in these regions.
Characteristics
The Philodendron pedatum is a climbing plant notable for its deeply segmented leaves resembling oak leaves. These leaves start off with a bright lime green shade and mature to a dark green, giving them an attractive and vibrant appearance. The plant can grow significantly, reaching an average height of about 1 to 1.5 meters.
Care
Like most Philodendron species, P. pedatum thrives best in a bright spot with indirect light. It does not tolerate extremely dry conditions and therefore requires moist soil for optimal health and growth. In general, this species requires little maintenance and can adapt to a variety of indoor conditions.
