Origin
The Philodendron ‘Narrow’, also known as ‘Tiger Tooth’, is native to the tropical regions of South America. This plant species is part of the Araceae family. Its natural habitat consists of tropical forests, where this species often grows at the base of large trees.
Characteristics
The Philodendron ‘Narrow’ is characterized by its long, narrow, deep green leaves. The leaves can reach up to 90cm in length and have a leathery texture. This plant species is a climber and will grow upwards if provided with a moss pole or similar support. Additionally, the plant produces inconspicuous flowers.
Care
Due to its tropical origin, the Philodendron ‘Narrow’ requires a warm and humid environment. Place the plant in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight. The plant needs a moderate amount of water; it is best to keep the soil slightly moist but overwatering can lead to root rot.
