Origin
The Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Tiger Fern’, also known as the Boston Fern, originates from the subtropical and tropical rainforests of North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean. It is a very ancient species belonging to the fern family, first seeing the light of day during the Carboniferous period. In the wild, this fern often grows on and in trees and is not always found on the ground.

Features

The Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Tiger Fern’ is characterized by its stunning leaves. The leaves are a bright green color with white or light stripes. The leaves are long and feather-shaped and grow from the plant’s core, creating a magnificent cascading structure. This makes the fern a striking plant in any interior. Additionally, this species is not affected by severe diseases or pests.

Caring for the Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Tiger Fern’ requires a high humidity environment to replicate the ideal growing conditions of a tropical climate. Although the plant can survive in indirect light, it thrives best in partial shade or under indirect light to avoid leaf burn. Although the Nephrolepis exaltata ‘Tiger Fern’ is cold-resistant, it performs best at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
