Origin
The Homalomena rubescens ‘Maggy’, also known as Homalomena Maggy, is a species of tropical plant native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia. This genus of plants is part of the Araceae family, or the arum family.
Characteristics
The Homalomena rubescens ‘Maggy’ is characterized by its lush crown of glossy, heart-shaped leaves that grow in tight rosettes. The plant has a deep green color that, under the right lighting conditions, can range from light green to almost black. Moreover, this plant reaches an average height of about 60 to 80 centimeters. The Homalomena Maggy has sturdy stems that allow the plant to keep its leaves high.
Care
Although the Homalomena rubescens ‘Maggy’ is a tropical plant by nature, it can adapt well to indoor climates. However, the plant requires high humidity and thrives in indirect light.
