Origin
The Ficus binnendijkii ‘Amstel King’, better known as ‘Alii’, originates from Southeast Asia and northern Australia. In these regions, the plant grows in rainforests and on the moist mountain slopes. Narrow and long leaves as well as an elegant manner of growth characterize this particular species of Ficus, which made its way to the Western world at the beginning of the 20th century.
