Characteristics
The Ferocactus glaucescens is known for its cylindrical shape and blue-gray color. The plant can reach heights between 40 and 60 centimeters, with a diameter up to 40 centimeters. It has very few, but prominent ribs covered with long strong spines. During the flowering period, which usually occurs in summer, this cactus produces bright yellow, bell-shaped flowers.
