Description
Origin
Euphorbia triangularis is native to South Africa. It is found in the Cape region, where it grows on dry and rocky slopes. The plant is part of the Euphorbiaceae family, which includes more than 2000 different species.
Characteristics
Euphorbia triangularis is a compact and upright plant that can reach up to four meters in height. The plant has a triangular trunk, hence its name. Its many branches and the blue-green color of its trunk are characteristic. The plant produces small green flowers in late spring or early summer.
Care
Euphorbia triangularis tolerates drought well and requires very little water. It is important that the plant is placed in well-draining soil to prevent root rot. The plant needs plenty of light but should be protected from direct and intense sunlight in summer. In winter, the plant can be kept at a minimum temperature of 10°C.
