Euphorbia ingens, also known as the candelabra cactus, is native to South Africa. It grows in semi-arid areas and adapts to extreme drought and high temperatures. Thus, it can survive in challenging climatic conditions.

Characteristics
Euphorbia ingens has a woody and branched vertical stem structure, which can reach up to 40 meters in height. The trunk and branches are equipped with spines and have grey-green bark. This plant bears small yellow flowers and irregular round fruits. The unique feature of this plant is that it stores water in its branched stem, just like cacti.

Care
Euphorbia ingens requires little maintenance and is extremely drought-resistant due to its water-storing ability. The plant prefers full sun and heat, and requires a minimum temperature of 10°C. Even though it can withstand difficult conditions, it is recommended to water this plant regularly during the growing season and limit watering in winter. When repotting Euphorbia ingens, it is essential to use well-draining soil to prevent the roots from being submerged in water.
