Description
Origin : Native to tropical and arid regions of the world (xerophytic climate for many species). Highly valued indoors for its beauty and reliability.
Characteristics : Thorny succulent stems (depending on the species), variable foliage, irritating latex. Size indoors: varies 30–150 cm.
Maintenance : Sun to very bright light; little water; let dry between waterings. Ideal temperature 16–30 °C. Average to high ambient humidity depending on the species; use draining substrate (potting soil + perlite) and avoid stagnant water.
