Origin
The Dracaena marginata, also known as the Dragon Tree, originates from Madagascar and other islands in the Indian Ocean. Its presence has also been noted in various tropical and subtropical regions around the world, largely due to its popularity as a houseplant.
Characteristics
The Dracaena marginata is an evergreen shrub known for its characteristic long, slender stems with scissor-shaped leaves. The leaves typically have a rich green color, surrounded by fine red edges that contribute to its refined appearance. The plant can grow up to 5 meters tall in ideal conditions, although it usually remains smaller indoors.
Care
Caring for the Dracaena marginata includes providing indirect light and limiting water. Although it can withstand some drought, it’s important not to overwater the plant. Under normal room conditions, the plant should be watered about once every two weeks. The ideal temperature for this plant is between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
