Origin
The Dracaena marginata, also known as the Dragon Tree, originates from Madagascar and other islands in the Indian Ocean. Its presence has also been noted in various tropical and subtropical regions of the world, largely due to its popularity as an indoor plant.
Characteristics
The Dracaena marginata is an evergreen shrub known for its characteristic long thin stems with scissor-shaped leaves. The leaves are generally a rich green color, bordered by thin red edges that contribute to its refined appearance. The plant can reach up to 5 meters in height under ideal conditions, although it generally remains smaller indoors.
Care
The care of the Dracaena marginata notably includes providing indirect light and limiting water. Although it can withstand some drought, it is important not to overwater the plant. Under normal room conditions, the plant should be watered approximately once every two weeks. The ideal temperature for this plant is between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
