Description
Origin
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’, commonly known as Dracaena, originates from tropical Africa. It is a popular indoor plant in temperate regions of the world due to its resistance to dry indoor conditions and aesthetic value.
Features
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ is characterized by its lush, dark green leaves with a striking yellow band along the center. It grows with a single stem that slowly widens, gradually increasing the height of the plant. The growth of this plant can reach a height of 1.5 meters in indoor conditions, making it a prominent addition indoors.
Maintenance
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ requires minimal maintenance and can thrive well in a wide range of indoor conditions. Although tolerant of light, it develops best under bright, indirect light. A good draining potting mix and moderate watering, when the top layer of soil feels dry, are typically sufficient for the plant. The plant requires minimal feeding, once a month during the growing season is adequate. Overwatering and insufficient lighting can cause leaf drop.
