Description
Origin
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’, commonly known as Dracaena, originates from tropical Africa. It is a popular indoor plant in temperate regions of the world due to its resilience to dry indoor conditions and its aesthetic value.
Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ is characterized by its lush, dark green leaves with a striking yellow stripe down the center. It grows with a single stem that slowly broadens and gradually increases the plant’s height. The growth of this plant can reach a height of 1.5 meters in indoor conditions, making it a prominent addition indoors.
Care
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ requires minimal care and can thrive well in a wide range of indoor conditions. Although tolerant of light, it develops best under bright and indirect light. Good draining potting soil and moderate watering, when the top layer of soil feels dry, is usually sufficient for the plant. The plant requires little feeding, once a month during the growing season is enough. Overwatering and insufficient lighting can cause leaf drop.
