Description
Origin
Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’, commonly known as Dracaena, originates from tropical Africa. It is a popular indoor plant in temperate regions of the world due to its resistance to dry indoor conditions and aesthetic value.
Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ is characterized by its lush, dark green leaves with a striking yellow band along the center. It grows with a single stem that slowly widens and gradually increases the height of the plant. The growth of this plant can reach a height of 1.5 meters in indoor conditions, making it a prominent addition indoors.
Care
Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ requires minimal care and can thrive well in a wide range of indoor conditions. Although it is tolerant of low light, it grows best under bright indirect light. A good draining potting soil and moderate watering, when the top layer of the soil feels dry, are generally sufficient for the plant. The plant requires little feeding; once a month during the growing season is sufficient. Overwatering and insufficient lighting can cause leaf drop.
