Description
Origin
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’, commonly known as Dracaena, originates from tropical Africa. It is a popular houseplant in temperate regions around the world due to its resilience to dry indoor conditions and its aesthetic value.
Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ is characterized by its lush, dark green leaves with a striking yellow band running down the center. It grows with a single stem that slowly broadens and gradually increases the plant’s height. The growth of this plant can reach a height of 1.5 meters in indoor conditions, making it a prominent addition to the interior.
Care
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Ulises’ requires minimal maintenance and can thrive well in a wide range of indoor conditions. Although it is tolerant of light, it performs best under bright, indirect light. Good draining potting soil and moderate watering, when the top layer of soil feels dry, are generally sufficient for the plant. The plant requires little feeding, once a month during the growing season is adequate. Overwatering and insufficient lighting can cause leaf drop.
