Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans ‘Compacta’ is distinguished by its dark green, glossy leaves that are tightly curled around its trunk, hence the nickname ‘Compacta’. The plant can reach a height of 1.5 to 3 meters, and a width of about 0.6 to 1.2 meters. It has a slow growth rate and may take many years to reach its maximum size. ‘Compacta’ rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces small white flowers.
