Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans ‘Compacta’ is distinguished by its dark green, glossy leaves that are tightly wrapped around its stem, hence the nickname ‘Compacta’. The plant can reach a height of 1.5 to 3 meters, and a width of about 0.6 to 1.2 meters. It grows slowly, and it may take many years to reach its maximum size. The ‘Compacta’ rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces small white flowers.
Care
Caring for Dracaena fragrans ‘Compacta’ is quite simple. The plant requires moderate light and does well in both indirect sunlight and artificial light. It is important to water it moderately; the soil should be dry before watering again to avoid root rot.
