The Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is an indoor plant that originates from Africa. More specifically, it is endemic to countries like Mozambique, Angola, and Ivory Coast. This evergreen and bushy green plant belongs to the Asparagaceae family and is commonly called Dracaena commun.
Characteristics
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is recognizable by its mottled green leaves that grow from large stems. Its leaves can reach up to 40 cm long, while the plant itself can reach heights of 2 meters indoors and up to 6 meters outdoors. The plant rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces fragrant white flowers that form clusters.
Care
The Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is relatively easy to care for. It prefers bright but indirect light and can also thrive in partial shade. The plant requires a moderate amount of water and needs well-drained soil to prevent root rot. It’s important to give the plant less water in winter, and the plant requires a constant temperature between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius.
