Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is an indoor plant native to Africa. More specifically, it is endemic in countries like Mozambique, Angola, and Ivory Coast. This evergreen and bushy green plant belongs to the Asparagaceae family and is commonly called Dracaena.
Characteristics
Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is recognizable by its speckled green leaves growing from large stems. Its leaves can reach up to 40 cm in length, while the plant itself can reach heights of 2 meters indoors and up to 6 meters outdoors. The plant rarely blooms, but when it does, it produces scented white flowers that form clusters.
Care
Dracaena fragrans ‘Cintho’ is relatively easy to maintain. It prefers bright but indirect light and can also thrive in partial shade. The plant needs a moderate amount of water and requires well-drained soil to prevent root rot. It is important to water the plant less in winter, and it requires a constant temperature between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius.
