The Dracaena draco ‘Compact’, also known as the Dragon Tree, originates from the Canary Islands, Madeira, Morocco, and Cape Verde. This unique plant species has since been spread and cultivated worldwide for its decorative appearance and ability to survive in various climates.
Characteristics
The Dracaena draco ‘Compact’ is a slow-growing tree with multiple trunks that can reach a height of 25 meters. The dense crown consists of spirally arranged leaves with a leathery texture and a color ranging from blue-green to gray-green. Like other dracaena species, this tree also produces dense clusters of small white or pink flowers, followed by orange or red berries.
Care
Despite its exotic appearance, the Dracaena draco ‘Compact’ is quite easy to care for. This plant prefers well-drained soil and enjoys exposure to direct sunlight.
