Description
Origin
The Chlorophytum comosum ‘Lemon’, also known as the lemon geranium, originates from southern Africa. The plant originally grew in forests and on mountainous slopes, which explains its need for air humidity and slight shade.
Characteristics
The Chlorophytum comosum ‘Lemon’ is distinguished by its elongated green leaves with a striking yellow border. The plant also produces small white flowers that become hanging shoots with baby plants at the end. It is a fast-growing plant that easily produces offspring.
Care
The Chlorophytum comosum ‘Lemon’ requires little maintenance. The plant prefers bright, indirect light and cannot tolerate full sun. Watering should be moderate – the soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings. Too much water can cause root rot. It is recommended to repot the plant from time to time to ensure optimal growth.
