Description
Origin
The Chlorophytum Comosum ‘Green Bonnie’, better known by another name, originates from South Africa. It has become a popular houseplant due to its ability to grow in various domestic conditions. Additionally, the plant is appreciated for its decorative and air-purifying properties.
Characteristics
The ‘Green Bonnie’ produces long, slender leaves that grow in an elegant arc from the heart of the plant. These leaves are a bright intense green color, without the white stripe in the center that is typical of many other species of Chlorophytum Comosum. The plant produces small white flowers and forms stolons, which develop young plants at their ends.
Care
Caring for the ‘Green Bonnie’ is relatively simple. The plant does well in moderate light and does not tolerate direct sunlight. It is important to allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. During the growing season in spring and summer, weekly watering is sufficient. In winter, this can be reduced to once every two weeks. The plant can be fertilized three to four times a year with a standard houseplant fertilizer.
