Description
Origin
Carex oshimensis ‘Everlime’, also known as Japanese Sedge, originates from the island of Oshima, located in Japan. This perennial plant is specifically native to the humid forested areas of this archipelago.
Characteristics
Carex oshimensis ‘Everlime’ is distinguished by its lime-colored leaves, which have dark green edges. The plant has a compact growth form and reaches a maximum height of about 20 to 30 centimeters. This species of ornamental grass blooms from April to June with thin brown flower spikes.
Care
Carex oshimensis ‘Everlime’ does not have specific requirements regarding its location and can be placed in full sun or partial shade. The type of soil is not important, as long as it is well-drained to prevent root rot. Although the plant is fairly drought-tolerant, regular watering is recommended, especially during dry periods.
