Origin
The Carex oshimensis ‘Evercolor Eversheen’ is an ornamental grass that originally comes from the forest edges and hills of Japan. It is part of the Cyperaceae family, which includes about 90 genera and 5000 species in total. Carex plants are often used in landscape architecture due to their resilience to various climates and attractive appearance.
Characteristics
The Carex oshimensis ‘Evercolor Eversheen’ is characterized by its golden leaves with green edges and its dense, bushy growth habit. It generally reaches a height of 30 to 40 centimeters and a width of 30 centimeters. The plant forms dense clumps that retain their leaves even in winter. Its flowering consists of small, inconspicuous flowers that appear in summer.
Care

The plant thrives well in a semi-shaded to shaded location but can also survive in full sun, provided it is adequately watered. It prefers well-drained and sufficiently moist soil.
