Characteristics
The Calathea ‘Makoyana’ is known for its characteristic and distinctive leaves. These leaves are green on top and purple underneath. The plant has oval and pointed leaves decorated with a pattern of green and cream spots, similar to a peacock feather pattern. Additionally, the plant can reach a maximum height of 60 centimeters.
Care
The Calathea ‘Makoyana’ requires specific care to thrive. It prefers a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight, as this could scorch the foliage. The plant needs high humidity and should be watered regularly, but is sensitive to overwatering. It is recommended to water the plant once a week in summer and once every two weeks in winter.
