Description
Origin : Native to tropical America (humid tropical climate). Highly appreciated indoors for its beauty and reliability.
Characteristics : Bushy or climbing habit depending on the species, decorative thick leaves; colored spathes with A. andraeanum. Indoor size: 40–80 cm. Red/pink/white spathes depending on the cultivar, several times a year.
Care : Bright light without direct sun; airy, slightly moist substrate; avoid hard water. Ideal temperature 18–26 °C. Ambient humidity medium to high depending on the species; use a draining substrate (potting soil + perlite) and avoid stagnant water.
