Description
Origin
The Aglaonema ‘Miss Juliette’ is an exotic plant native to the tropical regions of Southeast Asia. Its growing areas are generally located in the warm and humid undergrowth of the jungle, in countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The plant is best known by the name Chinese evergreen.
Characteristics
The Aglaonema ‘Miss Juliette’ is distinguished by its slender, elongated leaves, dark green in color with pink and cream hues. The plant tends to develop a creeping habit, which is why it is often used as a persistent ground cover. The leaves of this plant can vary in length, but on average, they measure between 20 and 40 cm. ‘Miss Juliette’ can reach a maximum height of about 60 cm.
Care
The Aglaonema ‘Miss Juliette’ prefers a warm and semi-shaded position. Excessive sunlight can bleach the color of the leaves. In its natural environment, the plant grows in humid conditions, so it is recommended to keep the soil slightly moist, without submerging the plant in water. The plant needs minimal water in winter and should never be exposed to temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius.
