Origin
The Aglaonema ‘Christina’ is an indoor plant originating from tropical and subtropical Asia, where it mainly grows in forests and humid, shaded regions. The plant, also known as Chinese Evergreen, belongs to the Araceae family.
Features
The Aglaonema ‘Christina’ is an attractive plant with its dark green, pointed leaves characterized by almost white stripes. The plant is known for its tolerance to low light and dry air. It generally reaches an average height of 50 cm and spreads out in width. It rarely blooms indoors, but when it does, it produces small and nondescript flowers.
Care
Caring for the Aglaonema ‘Christina’ is relatively simple. The plant prefers a source of indirect light and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It prefers a consistently warm environment (>15°C) and high humidity, but is quite tolerant of dry air. Regarding water needs, the ‘Christina’ tends to appreciate moderate watering; the soil should be evenly moist but not waterlogged. Excess water can lead to root rot, so it is important to water only when the top layer of the soil is dry to the touch.
