Origin
The Aglaonema ‘Chartreuse Pretty’ belongs to the Araceae family and originates from the humid tropical forests of Asia, notably in southern China and the Philippines. Its natural habitat is in the lower parts of the forest where they are slightly shaded and benefit from high air humidity.
Characteristics
The Aglaonema ‘Chartreuse Pretty’, also known as the Chinese Evergreen, is a spectacular indoor plant with large glossy leaves. The leaves are generally bright green with golden, silver, or cream patterns, giving this plant species a unique appearance. The plant can also produce flowers, but they are usually small and inconspicuous. The Aglaonema ‘Chartreuse Pretty’ can reach a height of 1 to 1.5 meters in the living room if conditions are optimal.
Maintenance
The Aglaonema ‘Chartreuse Pretty’ thrives best in an environment with moderate to indirect light but can survive with low light. Although the plant enjoys a high humidity level, excess water should be avoided to prevent root rot. The plant should be watered when the top half of the soil is dry and ideally kept at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
