Description
Origin
Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Green’ is native to South America. This species is specifically found in the Amazon region, where it grows luxuriantly under tropical climate conditions.
Characteristics
Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Green’ is distinguished by its round, glossy leaves that can range from light to dark green in color. The leaves have a leathery texture. The plant has a compact growth and can reach a height of about 25 centimeters. It rarely produces flowers, but when it does, they are discreet and whitish in color.
Care
Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Green’ requires minimal care. It does well in indirect sunlight and needs a temperature between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius for optimal growth. Although the plant can tolerate some drought, it prefers well-drained soil that is kept slightly moist. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. For feeding, a standard houseplant fertilizer can be used, but sparingly and only during the growing season.
