Description

Origin
The Acer pal. diss. ‘Inaba-shidare’, also known as the Japanese maple, originates from East Asia, specifically Japan. The plant grows in forests and on mountain slopes, where it regularly contributes to the colorful autumn landscape. Because this plant is particularly well-suited to Japanese gardens, and stands out in autumn with its dazzling colors, it has been exported to many other parts of the world.

Characteristics

The Acer pal. diss. ‘Inaba-shidare’ is distinguished by its unique visual characteristics. It is a medium-sized shrub or a small tree that can reach up to 4 meters in height. It is especially characterized by its beautifully carved foliage that is red in spring and summer, but takes on a beautiful purplish-red hue in autumn. The leaves are palmate, with seven to eleven lobes, and reach a length of 5 to 12 cm. Additionally, the plant has cascading branches.

Maintenance

The maintenance of Acer pal. diss. ‘Inaba-shidare’ requires some attention.
